Personal in-store training sessions

Personal training sessions are available in store, 7 days a week. You can opt for either 30 mins for £20 (inc.vat)  or 60 mins for £35 (inc. vat). Our instore experts 'Guru' will sit you down gather some information about what you would like to explore in your session before starting. Each session is unique and tailored to your individual requirements.

System setup 

Our in store Apple experts can help you set-up a new Mac and migrate your data from an older Mac or PC to that new Mac. Our in store Guru staff are trained to safely fit memory and hard drives to all Mac models including iMac, MacBook, MacBook Pro, Mac mini & Mac Pro using Apple approved parts*.

*Parts that do not adversely effect your Warranty or AppleCare status.

Solutions Inc. are an ‘Apple Authorised Service Provider’ and are fully accredited to carry out warranty  and non warranty assessment & repairs. Repairs to Apple MacBook, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac mini and Mac Pro systems re normally completed within 7 days.

All repair services are carried out in accordance with strict  guidelines and in complete compliance with Apple's diagnosis and repair procedure. All parts are sourced directly from Apple and all service records are logged and documented on Apple's Global Service system.
 



Service Contracts for Business & Education institutions

Private (non commercial) customers are best served by our in store experts. All our store staff are qualified and trained to just that.

Business, School & College customers might wish to consider a more formal service contract that includes remote dial-in support, help desk telephone support and support for Apple server products and server integration (Active Directory/Open Directory). Collection and return of warranty and non warranty repairs along with technician training & staff workshops complete the circle. 

 


iPhone repairs under contract

If you purcahsed an iPhone from one of our stores and it develops a fault within the first 28 days you can take it back to any of our Apple Premium Reseller Stores for direct exchange. If your iPhone is more than 28 days you will need to speak to your 'Service Provider'. We normally sell iPhones, where O2 is the service provider, though you may have a contract with Vodafone , Orange or another service provider / airtime carrier.

iPhones are 'locked down' to a single airtime provider and the iPhone handsets are subsidised by the respective service providers. Solutions inc. cannot interfer or alter the contract you have with your service provider and your iPhone is tied to that contract.

AppleCare Protection Plan extends the warranty of your iPod and is available up to 1 year after you bought your iPod.


iPad repairs under warranty

If you're iPad develops a fault you can take it back to any of our Apple Premium Reseller Stores.  Our company operates an iPad Exchange Service where faulty iPads are sent to Apple's European iPad Repair Centre. Our stores effectively act as a drop-off /collection point for a centrally run Europe wide scheme run by Apple. iPad repairs dropped off in store are normally available for collection within 7-14 days.

AppleCare Protection Plan extends the warranty of your iPad and is available up to 1 year after you bought your iPad.

iPod Troubleshooting

If you are experiencing problems with an iPod product you will find in depth support information on Apple's own iPod troubleshooting website. You can also try the following steps for rectifying common iPod issues.


If your iPod screen shows a ‘sad iPod’ icon or the screen does not show anything please try the following :- 

1. Resetting your iPod

Toggle the hold switch on and off (slide it to hold, then back to off again). Follow this by pressing and holding down both the ‘Menu’ and ‘Select’ buttons for 10 seconds or until the Apple logo appears on the screen.  Please repeat if the iPod does not reset on the first occasion.

 2. Battery and computer port

Please try an alternative USB 2 port on your computer to ensure the iPod is receiving power to recharge the battery. Your iPod battery needs looking after like any rechargeable battery. Apple recommend that you fully discharge and then recharge your iPod battery every month. This will help preserve the battery life. If you think your battery has developed a serious fault within the twelve month warranty period, Apple UK offer a rapid return & repair/replace service accessible at http://depot.info.apple.com 

Solutions Inc. can administrate this warranty process on your behalf . There is no charge where the iPod was purchased from our company. If you bought the iPod elsewhere or are unable to produce proof of purchase we will charge you a £17.99 administration fee.


Headphones

Please visit http://depot.info.apple.com if your iPod headphones develop a fault within the twelve month warranty period. Solutions inc. will not repair or replace iPod headphones.

Getting your Mac repaired

 You can carry-in 'warranty repairs' to any of our Apple Premium Reseller stores. Your computer once booked in will be transported to our central Apple Repair Centre. The collection/return service our company operates between all stores runs on a regular basis (at least once a week). Once your repair is completed it will be returned back to the store and you will be notified that it is ready for collection.

Our qualified Apple repair technicians  assess warranty claims according to Apple's process and carry out a valid warranty repair without charge using only parts sourced directly from Apple. This normally takes less than one week in total.

Repairs carried out by Solutions inc. do not affect your warranty status. Where the repair is not covered by the 12 month Apple limited warranty, repairs will not be carried out free of charge. You will be contacted by a repair technician to discuss the options available to you.

 


Local collection & return service

AppleCare Protection Plan

Apple's own extended warranty programme provides up to 3 years cover for all parts and labour associated to a repair. We encourage you to use our repair service. Solutions inc. are amongst the very highest scoring of repair centres in Europe according to Apple's own figures. You have the choice.  We pride ourselves on a fast and effective turnaround and we cannot be held responsible for the failure of other service providers or other resellers.

Out of Warranty Repairs

If you have a computer hardware failure that is not covered by Apple's warranty or AppleCare Protection Plan, you can receive advice about a repair by contacting our repair centre directly on 01273 200999 (Mon-Fri). To make things as easy as possible, we operate on a fixed-fee basis for labour costs. Parts (sourced from Apple) are charged extra.

Returns, Replacements and Refunds

Please take the time to check the goods you have purchased are correct and the same goods as those listed on any delivery/packing note , invoice or till receipt provided with every sale. Do not open the product packaging or attempt to install any item if you believe it to be incorrect or damaged in any way.

Refunds or replacement goods will only be made available, where the item is returned in the original packaging, no license seal has been broken (software) and the goods are returned to us within 14 days.

 

 


Returning unwanted goods

If you have purchased goods from Solutions inc. and wish to return them for a refund, you may do so as long as the items are returned to us unopened and unused within 14 days of the date of purchase. For security reasons we will only refund the original purchaser.

Unfortunately we cannot accept Apple ‘Configuration to Order’  goods back for full refund. These computer systems are built by the manufacturer to your specific requirements. In these situations a re-stocking fee equivalent to 20% of the goods value will be retained.

We will not accept back unwanted goods where the product has become end of line or where a change to the price or specification has occurred since the date of purchase.

Got the wrong item?

Should you receive an incorrect item please contact us immediately (within 14 days). Do not open the goods or deface the packaging. We will replace items with the correct item as quickly as possible. Unfortunately we will not accept any claims for the delivery of wrong goods after the initial 14 day period.

 


Faulty Goods

If you experience a problem with your computer which is not software related but a fault with the computer hardware, please contact our repair centre or enquire in store.

If you have purchased goods from Solutions inc. which are faulty, we will offer you the option of  a fast track repair.  Where goods develop a fault within 14 days from the date of purchase you may request a full refund.

Before any repair or refund is offered we will need to assess the computer and correctly identify any fault. Therefore goods must be left with us until such time as an assessment can be completed by an authorised Apple Repair Technician.

After the 14 day initial period and for the remainder of the 12 month warranty period we will carry out a warranty repair process to fix any identified hardware fault.

They called back within a short time and then remotely accessed my machine and within 20 minutes had sorted my software problem and at the same time provided advice on storage and backup.
