Cross Curricular Workshop: Roman Britain
Year 5 Project - History, Science & Art
Learn to create a simple website containing blogs & podcasts. A group of year 5 students embark on a project about Roman Britain. We refer to real QCA units and show how your students can clearly and simply communicate their findings through blogs and podcasts. We also show how simple it is for you as a teacher to create a website as a framework for you to publish their work. We create an audio podcast about the Roman invasion, a video podcast about Roman settlements, blogs about Roman inventions and even a movie demonstrating the Roman influence on modern Art & Design - all in just one hour. A real eye-opener that shows just how easy it is to start making compelling digital content in the class and then share it online. Lastly we explain, in detail, how to build a contemporary classroom for podcasting. Take a look at the website we'll be creating: Roman Britain Website
